Form follow function
Shoes and people bare remarkable similarities of which their creation for specific functions, occasions and purposes are explored in this painting. In Jeremiah 29 vs 11 God declares that He knows the plans that He has for us; they are plans for good and not for disaster, to give us a future and a hope. God created every one of us with a specific purpose in mind; this makes us and our walk with God on earth as unique as each life line represented on the left of the picture plane. As own willed beings however, we have our own plans and dreams regarding our lives; all of which, if not in Gods will, is a waist of time. By placing yourself on Gods shelf you are availing and submitting yourself to what He wants to do in and through your life. After all, a shoe is just a vessel for something far greater, without which it could never reach a destination.
